Even though I’m a very private person, I understand that readers need to know I am qualified to talk about the subjects I present. Here’s the rundown. Having learned and studied under the hawk-eye of Dr. HLM van Schaik for over a decade, I taught riders of all ages the Art of Classical Dressage for over two. During that time, I have subjected my students and clients to the same thought-provoking strata that I’d been exposed to; hopefully imparting upon them a sense of purpose beyond skills and temporal goals.
My education is seated in Animal Science and Philosophy, and combining that with the experience of teaching, I have, from time to time, written articles for the Horse Industry. Publications include Dressage & CT, Horseman’s Yankee Pedlar, Equine Journal, HYP, The Equerry and local newspapers.
In addition, I am also an award-winning artist. My old medium: graphite. After the art showing shuffle which included NYC, Boston, MA and Lexington, KY, I started a small notecard company specializing in horse designs. Over the years, my product line changed. My new medium: a combination of original drawings and digitally enhanced renderings. My company is now called Wingspan Arts International, and I am selling original, beautifully designed Equine Anatomy Charts all over the world.
My intellectual, creative and physical pursuits have been balanced by Spirituality .
During the 90′s, I had the opportunity to study Reiki with John Harvey Gray. He helped me start a practice with horses, which I have maintained ever since. At one point, I had the distinct privilege of combining my energy practice with my knowledge and skill as the head trainer in a dressage and combined driving barn. Those notes have yet to be published; they are vast and detailed, and have had a profound effect not only on the horses, but on my own life…
So, now comes the time to gather all of my experiences and share them. I have written my first non-fiction book entitled, “Legendary Hearts”, which is now being considered by a publisher in New England, and I am completing a proposal for my second non-fiction book entitled, “Quantum Horsemanship: riding in a beam of light”. I have also completed the first drafts of three full length fiction works, and will be editing and re-writing like mad over the winter to get one of them ready for consideration.
That’s kind of it. There are more projects on more burners…so…stay tuned. It should be a fun ride…
Wishing you knowledge, insights, luck and love,
Adrienne Neary
